PLANET A VENTURES LONDON DINNER

Planet A Ventures, the Berlin-based climate tech fund, booked a London dinner at Parrillan in Borough Yards on 30 June 2026, co-hosted with Future Bio. The brief called for natural, candid documentation rather than posed corporate photography: guest arrivals, mingling over welcome drinks, and the dinner itself once the group sat down.

Coordination ran entirely over WhatsApp in the days before the event, with Planet A's Sarah Christine Gill setting the brief and timings from Berlin and her colleague Kim acting as the on-the-ground contact, pointing out key guests to prioritise once the room filled up.

Parrillan's railway-arch setting gave the evening a distinct visual character. The exposed brick vaulting, string lighting, and dense planting in the outdoor courtyard offered a warmer alternative to the glass-and-steel venues typical of VC events, and coverage opened with wide environmental frames establishing that atmosphere before guests arrived.

Once the room filled, coverage shifted to candid arrivals and greetings, working discreetly through the crowd to catch genuine reactions rather than staged introductions. The sit-down dinner presented the same low-light challenge as any evening reception: maintaining natural colour and enough shutter speed to hold expression sharp without flash, which would have flattened the venue's ambient lighting.

Usage terms were agreed directly over WhatsApp before the shoot: a non-exclusive licence covering marketing, advertising, and editorial use for both hosting organisations, plus permission for attending guests to share the images on their own social channels with photo credit.

The delivered set gave Planet A and Future Bio a shared gallery for social proof of the gathering's calibre, relationship management with the investors and founders in attendance, and material for future London events.
