Runa Capital needed updated headshots for three of its London-based partners, whose existing photos on the firm's team page had fallen out of date or were missing entirely. The brief was straightforward: a clean, consistent studio set that would sit comfortably alongside the rest of the international team's existing photography.

A plain white background and even, shadowless lighting kept the set consistent across all three partners despite differences in build, colouring, and personal style, so the final images would read as one coherent set on the team page rather than three separate sittings.

Each partner was shot in two crops: a three-quarter wide frame with arms crossed or turned slightly off-axis for a more relaxed, approachable read, and a tighter close-up for use where a smaller crop was needed, such as speaker badges or byline thumbnails.

Working white-on-white at a consistent exposure across three different sittings in one session meant careful attention to metering and skin tone rather than anything technically exotic. The value was in the consistency: a venture firm's partner grid reads oddly if headshots come from different photographers, years, or lighting setups, and this shoot brought all three London partners back onto the same visual footing in one sitting.

The delivered set gave Runa Capital a refreshed, consistent partner grid for its website, plus individual images each partner could reuse for press bios, panel and conference speaker submissions, and LinkedIn.
