FOV VENTURES FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY

FOV Ventures marked its first year with a birthday party in London, bringing together the fund's team, portfolio founders, and LPs for an evening of food and drinks. The brief was documentary rather than staged: capture the room as it actually was, not a lineup of posed group shots.

Coverage moved through the venue's booth seating, open mingling areas, and bar, following conversations as they happened rather than interrupting them. Guests were shot in small clusters, mid-conversation, drinks and plates in hand, keeping the energy of a genuine social evening rather than a corporate mixer.

Mixed lighting across the venue, warm pendant lights over the booths, cooler overhead strips in the open areas, meant constantly adjusting exposure and white balance shot to shot to keep skin tones consistent as the evening's coverage moved from space to space.

The delivered set gave FOV Ventures a library of natural, candid images from the milestone evening: useful for social recaps, LP updates, and marking the fund's first year for its own community without resorting to staged corporate event photography.
