FELIX CAPITAL & CHERRY VENTURES

When Berlin-based Cherry Ventures and London's Felix Capital hosted a who's who of European tech ecosystem participants at SuperVenture 2024, only the best would do.

SuperVenture attracts over 1,000 senior LPs and VCs to Berlin each June for what amounts to the European venture capital industry's most concentrated annual gathering. The event runs across three days at the Vienna House, generating more than 25,000 scheduled meetings between limited partners, general partners, and portfolio company founders. When two respected early-stage funds decided to co-host an invitation-only networking evening during the conference, the guest list represented a cross-section of Europe's most active dealmakers.

The brief called for documenting the event in a way that protected attendee privacy while capturing the atmosphere and relationships being built. Many LPs prefer not to appear in public-facing photographs, yet the hosts needed visual proof of concept for future events and to manage relationships with their own networks.

Coverage focused on wide environmental shots showing the venue and scale without identifiable faces in the foreground, candid groupings where attendees were engaged in conversation rather than camera-aware, and selective portraits of those comfortable being photographed. The result balanced documentation requirements against investor discretion.

The final gallery provided both funds with material for internal communications, future event planning, and selective use in portfolio company updates, where appropriate. These closed-door networking events serve specific relationship-building purposes in the VC world, and photography needs to respect that dynamic while still providing value to the organisers.

The images demonstrate the calibre of attendees and atmosphere without compromising anyone's comfort level around being publicly associated with specific conversations or relationships during deal-making season.
